Placed in the inner end of one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway, the Hardangerfjord, you will find the hamlet of Ulvik.  Here the natural wonders of Ulvik takes advantage of the unspoiled blue fjord, gentle foothills and wild and awesome mountain plateau. All of this result in warm summers with a good mixture of sun and rain for you to enjoy the wonders of unspoiled nature and small gentle orchard farms.  This pleasant landscape is pleasing to your eyes, the scents and tastes of the orchard products tingles your senses and the scenery is a photographer’s delight.  It is no wonder that the horticultural school with its “living” orchard gene bank is located here.

Not far away is the sister hamlet OSA with its unique history and remnants of the “forgotten” city, a planned city that never realized.  The little known “sea to sky” mountain road from Osa takes you up to Hardangervidda where you can experience the breathtaking views of the best of Norway - a whole plateau as far as you can see – all for yourself.
